Welcome to the team
Our new Senior Design Project Manager, Amanda and Production Manager, Ben join our team this month. We caught up with them both:
Can you tell us a bit about your career background?
Amanda: Having studied Industrial engineering and Interaction design, my career began as a set designer and graphic designer
Ben: My path began studying Technical Theatre at college. I became project manager for a small corporate production house before touring around the world with various bands and artists. I’ve specialised in lasers and SFX for the past 3 years.
What are your greatest achievements to-date?
Amanda: Creating and installing intricate designs for quick installs. I love challenging what can be done in a space in a certain amount of time.
Ben: It has to be acting as Laser Crew Chief for Robbie Williams’ World Stadium Tour
What excites you in your new role?
Amanda: Being part of a creative team where you’re encouraged to think outside the box.
Ben: New challenges are always exciting and of course meeting new people!
What are your biggest interests/passions?
Amanda: Installation art, exhibition design, graphic design and travel. I am also very interested in the relations created between people and places.
Ben: I love my car and running!
Tell us something no-one would know about you?
Amanda: I collect unique looking ‘Alice in wonderland’ illustrated book editions.
Ben: I’ve run two half marathons.
