A day in the life of a Production Manager
INTERVIEW WITH LEAH GLANVILLE
Leah Glanville has been FullCircle’s Production Manager for 3 years. She lives in south-east London with her friends and, outside of work, can be found wandering around street markets and the Docklands.
My alarm goes off…
At around 7 am. I’m actually a terrible morning person, so rising early gives me enough time to adjust!
I’m responsible for…
Running large-scale production projects at FullCircle, including the full build and production of The Pavilion at the Tower of London. I also look after a range of venues across London including Syon Park, Plaisterers Hall and Winchester House to name a few.
I got the job…
Because I was working in Dubai and looking to relocate back to London – I love this city. I wanted a fresh and exciting challenge. FullCircle seemed like a great fit, and it was!
My typical day is…
Always varied! Talking to clients, building quotes, drawing CAD plans and of course, getting stuck in on-site!
My most memorable moment was…
Having to deal with gale force winds whilst attempting to de-rig The Pavilion at the Tower of London last year. The team had to work very strategically while maintaining a safe environment. We were, of course, able to successfully dismantle the venue with no dramas. Phew!
The worst part of my job is…
Admin! I always seem to get lost in the world of spreadsheets.
The best part of my job is…
Being on-site and playing my part within the team to create unforgettable events!
After work…
I’m currently binge watching Grey’s Anatomy on Sky whilst sipping whiskey. Pure escapism!
My Plan B: A Costumier
Making elaborate outfits for stage and on screen.
