Guests design, print and make their own wax food wraps to help banish cling film from their kitchens!
Wax wraps are a natural, reusable and compostable alternative to single-use plastics like cling film and sandwich bags. Beeswax is naturally antibacterial and wraps can be washed time and again, making them perfect for covering bowls and wrapping food.
Hosted by our expert, guests will be guided through each step. Guest will begin by using lino cutting equipment to make their own stamps. Each person will have the freedom to create their own design, with guidance from our tutor, so that the group can enjoy the shared experience of learning a new skill together while expressing themselves with their own personalised project. Our host will then show the group how to infuse the wax onto their printed cottons to create their very own unique wax wraps.
At the end of the activity guests will have a beautiful set of wax food wraps to keep or give as gifts. They can also reuse their bespoke stamp to make more wraps in the future or even to print matching cards or gift wrap!
