When an emerging neighbourhood arrives on the London landscape, how can the regenerated space make vital connections with the community? Through carefully realising a programme of strategic activations.
Working closely with developers and retailers, we curated a Summer fixture of eye-catching entertainment for the new East Village postcode. It’s imperative that new neighbourhoods become much-loved destinations. So, our team focused on a vibrant line-up of acts that would reverberate in the public’s imagination. Designed to resonate with audiences, our weekly line-up ensured East Village thrived as a go-to place.
Our entertainers were placed in key hot-spots, encouraging visitors to explore the full experience of the space and the unique retailers on offer. Coinciding with a weekly pop-up market, our kid-friendly acts became a magnet for guests, ensuring the marketplace became a central hive of activity.
Each week a changing roster of London’s most talented traders, established performers and interactive acts attracted crowds of visitors, eager to explore the new neighbourhood. Acts included walkabout Pigeons, roaming acoustic bands, face painters and balloon modellers.
More fun came from walkabout magic performers, family caricature artists whilst meet and greet animal acts entertained little ones. Drawing consumers in seasonally, specially created holiday-themed entertainment was produced for Halloween and an LED Light show became a hit sensation for Fireworks night.
Adding to the buzzing vibes of E20’s growing notoriety, we provided a weekly DJ to fill the marketplace with laid-back Summer tunes. With our talented entertainment developing the neighbourhood’s Placemaking strategy, East Village continues to rise as a much-loved community.
