Rio Olympics at Sushi Samba

In the midst of the Olympics, our client wanted to create a Rio-themed summer party at the iconic 38th floor restaurant and bar, Sushi Samba.

Fullcircle added to the exotic venue with styling and bespoke entertainment that would bring the Carnival theme to life.

The venue was split into four areas with their own unique theme; the iconic tree terrace was transformed into a rooftop jungle, with palms and a grass-top bar. The main bar area became a central hub of activity, the ‘olympic arena’ of the event, complete with a whole host of sporting entertainment including football freestylers, basketball tricksters, gymnasts and Brazilian Capoeira martial artists. Other areas of the venue which were themed included the long ‘favela’ terrace and the tropical beach bar.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted by professional samba dancers complete with vibrant festival costumes accompanied by traditional carnival drummers. Olympic inspired games such as table football and basketball hoops encouraged guests to emerge themselves into the rio-party atmosphere.
